Paul Brett "Bretty"....

13/08/24

It is with considerable regret that Cheshire RFU announces the passing of one of its former players.

Paul Brett  “Bretty” played for LSH between 1997 and 99, joined New Brighton 1999 and played for them until 2005, when he went to Chester before retiring during that season. For New Brighton he scored 1205 points and scored 34 tries.

Paul was an “ever present” in the Cheshire Men’s team during that period, quite simply, he was a generational special player.

He will be remembered as a kind, quick witted, decent, passionate and loving family man.

As a mark of respect New Brighton RFC are holding a minutes silence at the opening of our 150 Year Celebrations on 17th August for our Presidents Invitational.

Pauls funeral is on Tuesday 20th August 12.00 noon at Chester Crematorium CH15BB, following on to celebrate his life in Anselmians Rugby Club Eastham Wirral CH620AN. 2pm-7pm
