The RFU guidance and the allowed formats for the U12s and U13s have changed over the last two seasons and the current Cup format with Waterfall into Plate, Bowl, Shield, Vase, Trophy etc. is not compatible with the requirements of the RFU.

Instead, the RFU have proposed a series of cluster festivals for the U12s and U13s age groups, based on East, Central and West Chester clubs:

  • West: Anselmians, Birkenhead Park, Caldy, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Hoylake, Oxton Parkonians, New Brighton, Wirral,
  • Central: Bowdon, Congelton, Crewe-Nantwich, Helsby, Knutsford, Lymm, Northwich, Sandbach, Winnington Park,
  • East: Altrincham-Kersal, Ashton-on-Mersey, Dukinfield, Macclesfield, Marple, Sale FC, Stockport, Wilmslow
  • IoM Teams are encouraged to join one of the festivals, and will be placed in one of the three clusters in order to facilitate travel requirements.

The Festivals have been arranged and organisation will be assisted by the RFU RDOs as follows:

West – Chris Hughes (
U12s West : Wirral (23rd Sept 2018, confirmed), Birkenhead Park (14th Apr 2019, confirmed)
